If you have a great imagination, an idea for a dream build or perhaps a amazing tree for a tree house we may be able to help by turning those ideas into a reality.
We will use all our skills and experience to work with you to create a design that solves any specific problem, needs or crazy idea you may have. We use only quality materials throughout to create our builds meaning they will be around for generations.
Bespoke...
When we say bespoke that what we mean here at Cedar & Oak.
We want to work with you closely to design and build the hut, building, pod, cabin, tree house or something with no name yet that will be amazing.
We have a team that encompasses CAD designers, architects, engineers, timber craftsmen, electricians and plumbers with over 60 years of experience that love to design and build bespoke projects and turn big dreams into small spaces.
Below in the gallery we have a great example of a special project we built called the "The Bothy" by the owners. This amazing hobby room/summer house was a truly special build and remains one of our favourites and shows what can be achieved starting from a quick chat over a cup of tea.
SPECIAL PROJECTS - THE BOTHY
A curved roof hobby room, den and social space with the added extra of a garden tool store
Here is what Pete & Sal had to say about the 'Bothy"
“It all started because we had two old sheds in one part of the garden, and our thinking was to replace them,” says Peter. “But then we felt that having a covered area as part of that could be quite interesting. “The idea somewhat morphed from there. “Peter and I talked through some of the things we were looking for, and he was able to interpret our ideas and come back with designs.
Originally we weren’t looking at a curved roof; I asked if that was a possibility, and he said he thought it was. We were keen to have a covered area and also decided to take the plunge and have the building insulated.
The workbench and cupboards are all designed so they can be taken out and the room repurposed. “We thought we might want to use it as a model railway room, so the central set of doors are designed so we can put a model railway upright as they cantilever out,” Peter says. “The beauty of the building is its flexibility. My wife uses it for guitar practice and crafts, while my son uses it as a yoga studio. “Although he contracted out the electrics and the patio, Peter controlled the whole project. He was very flexible with the construction and installation. At one point, Sal decided she didn’t want to have a hook-and-eye system to hold the door back, so Peter and I designed an alternative system. He was infinitely patient with things like that.” Both Peter and Sal love the rustic nature of the larch cladding and they’re delighted that it was supplied by a local sawmill a couple of miles down the road.

Peter and the team have just finished our bespoke garden building and we could not be more pleased with the result.
Truly a one off, Peter’s eye for design took many of our initial ideas, improved on them, and he then executed them to a very high standard. His flexibility in also including raised beds and archway have transformed the working part of our garden. He was even able to incorporate an area for a model railway as a late addition! The team are easy to work with, consistent in communication, on time and on budget. All in all, great value for money!

SPECIAL PROJECTS
Hodnet, Wellington & Peplow Glamping Wagons at Overwater Marina, Cheshire
We designed and built three special railway-inspired glamping wagons for Overwater Marina in Cheshire.
They sit on a historic disused railway line, perfect for exploring a bit of history, the local canal or Cheshire's wonderful countryside.
The wagons feature double beds, kitchens, shower rooms, built-in storage, and beautiful Everhot stoves.
The wagons are comfortable and quiet, and all feature outdoor wood-fired hot tubs for that added wow.

Peter and the team have been a pleasure to work with - great craftsmanship and aftercare.
Will definitely be using them again and would recommend them without a doubt.
